Founded in 1830, New Bedford Port Society is the responsible for the repair, restoration and maintenance of 2 of the most important historical buildings in New Bedford, Massachusetts: The Seamen’s Bethel and the Mariners’ Home. Both of these historic buildings, which are located across the street from the New Bedford Whaling Museum and at the top of Johnny Cake Hill in the New Bedford National Whaling Historic Park are currently undergoing significant work so that future generations may learn from and enjoy them.
Your contributions make a real difference in our ability to preserve these historic treasures. The Board of Managers of the New Bedford Port Society thank you for your generous support.
